4 out of 5 stars Exellent sound/fit. Crapy audio jack.   December 1, 2008
Agree with most previous reviewers.
I like them a lot.
But audio jack failed within 3 weeks of usage. It's still usable but very annoying.

5 out of 5 stars A nice set of earbuds!   November 30, 2008
The V-Moda Vibe are great earphones. Deep bass, but not so much that it overpowers the higher register. I personally listen to rock and metal, and even in the most heavy metalcore or melodic metal sequences, the screaming guitars still come out flawless. This, and the chugging sounds still bring the heavy feel the artists were shooting for. On my more mainstream rock songs, the sound comes out nicely as well. Granted, a lot of this depends on your source; I've personally tested these earphones on both my Zune and my iPod and it sounds great either way.

As for durability, I'm not sure I can give you a cut-and-dry answer. HOWEVER, I've had my pair for about 10 months now with no problems whatsoever. I'm not very careful with them in terms of storage and they still are in great condition. One important thing to note, though, is that I always pull them out of my ears using the metal housing, and not the cord. (Probably a good tip for any earphone user, but it seems like especially for this set, based on some other bad reviews.)

If you do end up buying these earphones, keep in mind that they need to be broken in. The sound you initially hear is not the actual final sound. As an audiophile, i definitely recommend these earphones. They aren't the absolute best, but for the price, they perform quite nicely. I can't tell you how they are if you listen to rap or hip-hop; not my type of music. However, everything from In Flames to Van Halen to The Killers sounds good. Give them a shot.

1 out of 5 stars Lemon and poor sound   November 28, 2008

I had the V-Moda bass and I left them on a plane. I purchased these as a replacement. I was a HUGE fan of the V-Moda Bass. They were much better than my friends expensive Shure buds.

I used the Shure's at the gym for a week while I replaced mine. They are too heavy to work out in and have little bass. Anyway, I received my Vibe's and out of the box the left ear bud was DOA. The right bud had little sound quality as well. I sent them back and replaced with the Bass model and love them!! Might have gotten a lemon all around but I would not recommend these.

4 out of 5 stars Great sound   November 26, 2008
Great sound from these headphones, tried a few before I landed on these. The only thing I would ask for is the attachment of the wire to the headphones themselves to be a bit more durable feeling, if I were to accidently pull them from my ear by the wire I would probably be checking to see if I broke anything. I haven't had a problem with them, and the durability issue is non-existent at the moment, but i've only had them a few weeks now. As far as sound goes they are great! They also come with different sizes of rubber-tips so they should fit in most ears, this has been a big issue with me previously, they are comfy.

1 out of 5 stars not worth the money   November 24, 2008
I'm on my second set. The first one started after a few months, then a sort of pricking feeling in my left ear, like little electrical shocks. It got too bad to even use. I replaced them, and now only few months after that, the same problem again. $100 is too much to have to replace every six months or so.
