Best little speakers for devices, laptops - everything November 4, 2008 Really crisp and clear. Loud, too. No distortion cranked to the max on my Zune. Very freaky that so much sound comes out of something so incredibly small! These are also attractive, but you can see that in the pic. Wish they didn't all have that flower shape or else I'd get my husband a set to replace his current system. Sub Woofer is a lot bigger than you think it is, but still has a really small foot print. Speakers have nice, long cloth-wrapped cords. Awesome. I hate stupid rubberized cords that seem to grow funk and dust and crap and just snake all over the place. No cords would be best but these do the job.
As for people having issues with the volume - try this. If you just touch the little + or - things, that does not seem to work. Grip it between thumb and forefinger and press it like it's a button (it's not). That seems to work. I think you have to big fingertips to get the thing to recognize you? I have no problem at all with it if I use my thumb. Fingertip - no wai!

Looks good, purchased for daughter for Christmas so I really don't know how it works, will update after Christmas.
The 60's hippie era is back! September 25, 2008 But not the horrible sound we had to put up with in the 60's. These little speakers remind me of Flower Power from the late 60's. They sound great. Granted, sometimes the bass from the subwoofer isn't strong, but sometimes it's due to the music you are playing. I got these a few days ago from QVC - they had them at a birthday sale price of just $52! They are connected to my new Compaq desktop since the speakers that came in the flat panel monitor don't have any depth at all to them. I can't believe the price I got them for after I came here to read the reviews. I'm happy!
Excellent for the price, but with kink September 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just bought these at Sam's Club for $40 (in white to match my mac)! I went online to read the reviews. I bought them because i saw they were on sale and for the price, they were exactly what I needed. They have great sound and amazing volume for the size of the speakers. I can't complain about the subwoofer since it's perfect for my needs. However, my only complaint is the positioning of the input jacks and bass control. with all the wires where they are supposed to go, it is very difficult to adjust the bass. Also, the way it's set up, the control is right next the rest of the jacks in the BACK... or the jacks are in the FRONT depending on how you look at it. All in all... not a bad buy for $40, but I'm glad I didn't pay Amazon's price.
Wonderful September 8, 2008 I've had my speakers for a week now, and I LOVE them! They work perfectly. I haven't had any problems with the touch volume controls like some have had. You can control the volume from the computer as another option. Crystal clear music is pumped through out my room. I have a very tall ceiling (about 15ft) but these little speakers have some kick! A total steal for the price!!
