Pretty cool clock August 29, 2008 I looked high and low for a clock with this many features: It's nigh impossible to find one with a radio, projection, and vibration all in the same unit. This model is virtually the only one on the market, and even then it appears to be discontinued and not available with other vendors. I was pleasantly surprised at how small & compact it is: it's only about 6" long by about 4.5" high when I expected some ungainly big thing. Display contrast is excellent and very visible in daylight. The backlight when you press the snooze button is also great, and very clear. I love that the clockface (main display) is not lit at night so the light won't keep you up. Projector is awesome - a fabulous feature that I didn't realize I needed so much! It's also nice that you can turn the projector on continuously (with the AC adaptor plugged in) or set it to only come on when you hit snooze. BTW: I can't agree with Andie's review below -- I think he reviewed the wrong product because there is no continuous backlight keeping the screen lit at night, and the black-on-silver lcd time display is definitely visible in daylight - I can see it from the next room over. The controls are very intuitive and to turn off the radio alarm all you have to do is hit the "radio" button, or hit any button to turn of the melody alarm. The only downsides are that the speaker does sound tinny (to be expected from such a compact unit, I suppose) and I'd like the vibration to be stronger. But all in all, it's a neat clock.
Not bad April 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Compact unit with many features. Time projection is wonderful. Wish the button beep volume could be set separately from the alarm radio volume. Speaker could be better quality, sound is somewhat tinny.

This was the first (and only) item I have returned to Amazon. Overall a good design. However, it's too difficult to read the time during the day without pressing a button to activate the backlight. (I called OS to confirm this.) The contrast of the screen is just too dark for easy viewing during the day. The design would have been better if you had the option to disable the backlight if it bothered you at night. I loved the projection on the ceiling, that was the primary reason for purchasing the product, but viewing the time during the day was just too hard. In addition, I found it difficult to turn off the radio alarm. So much so that I had to grab the instructions one morning to see if I was doing it right! Also, the vibrating under-pillow speaker did not work even though I was well within the recommended range.
This could be a great product with a few improvements. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more if the product worked as expected, but overall the clock radio is a disappointment at this price. OS should improve on the basic functions of this clock radio; and then add the unique features such as temperature, weather conditions and pillow speaker. Not let the basic functions suffer for the added features.
I checked all the other projection clock radio alarms on Amazon and decided to wait until a new and better model becomes available.
