Sing back to the birds with the bell-like tones of Woodstock Percussion's 27-inch Encore Collection Diamond chime. Using the breeze to make music, the chime features a diamond-shaped wind catcher that moves in the air. A circular disk on the same cord taps the hollow musical tubes and makes them ring. Handcrafted and weather-resistant, Woodstock Percussion's chimes are at once stout and elegant. On this instrument, a strong black cord suspends chimes and disks alike, threading through an ashwood support at the top. Each wooden piece is finished with an attractive beveled edge and a rich mahogany stain. This silver chime is tuned to an ancient pentatonic scale. Company founder Garry Kvistad has developed an advanced method of tuning used on every Woodstock chime: Each tube is analyzed digitally with a microphone under the tube measuring the frequency, and cutters are instructed to remove just the right amount of material to produce the most precise tuning possible. What a surprise!!! From the picture I had no idea how GREAT this chime looks. The sound is terrific and often, unlike a lot of chimes I never hear but look neat. I would say the best chime I have and a GREAT price!!!

I purchased these windchimes as a gift, with some hesitation - typically windchimes are just a source of noise. Since these chimes are tuned, there just nice, pleasant harmonies produced, even with the slighest breeze. While I dreaded having to listen to them when I visited the person I gave them to, I find it quite pleasant to sit on the patio and hear these chimes.

Not really worthy of the Woodstock Percussion name. It is tuned to a pleasant scale. Be advised that this "27 inch" windchime has a max tube length of about 12". I guess they are measuring the length of the string that holds the flag. Wow. Very lightweight. Can't put it near my REAL Woodstock chimes. Glossy packaging, but they're just trying to make a ... buck. tsk tsk.

I bought all three of these chimes and they are wonderful! The 27 produces higher scale notes with surprising resonance. No ... tinkling sounds here!
