Album Description
Special 2008 Australian Edition of the debut album from the British vocalist features the International Edition tracklisting plus the addition of the single 'Forgive Me'. This 14 track pressing contains two tracks NOT on the U.S. version ('Homeless' and 'The Best You Ever Had') but drops one cut from that edition ('Misses Glass'). Leona was the winner of the 2006 season of the UK's talent show X-Factor and Spirit is the first release under a partnership between the show's creator Simon Cowell and music mogul Clive Davis. Working alongside the world's biggest producers and songwriters, Leona has put together an unrivaled collection of songs. The album plays host to a veritable 'who's who' of writers and producers, with the likes of Dallas Austin, Soulshock and Carlin, Jam and Lewis, Walter Afanasieff And Salaam Remi all having lined up to work with Leona. Spirit Enhanced With Four Great Bonus Tracks !!!! December 12, 2008

This enhanced version of the exemplary "Spirit" CD is vintage. Leona Lewis' vocals soar on all four of the bonus tracks. The tender and emotive "Run" is dramatic and dynamic. " A Moment Like This" is triumphant and cathartic. "Forgive Me" is a great single that will resonate with the masses. "Misses Glass" is a unique gem. The Leona Lewis rise to stardom is a great story. In addition to being a supreme vocalist, Ms. Lewis is a humane animal lover who reveres God, her family and her middle class British culture. She's unaffected and down to earth. It's amazing that so much musical talent continues to emanate from England. In a few years Leona may arguably be the biggest star on the planet. There's nothing vain or conceited about her. "Footprints In The Sand" says it all.
