Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
A West Coast phenomenon whose previous seven albums reached the R&B/Hip Hop top 10, E-40- rap pioneer in the hyphy movement- made his gold major label debut in 2006 with 'My Ghetto Report Card.' Suddenly, E-40 became a sensation as the album debuted #3 Pop and #1 R&B/Hip Hop and went platinum. Now the innovative E-40 returns with his most polished product to date, the imaginatively titled 'The Ball Street Journal,' featuring superstar guests from Snoop Dog and Ice T to The Game and Akon. This is the parental advisory edition

4 out of 5 stars E Fizzle still bangin even tho I'm no hyphy n9gga I feel this one   December 26, 2008
Hey this is E-40 the godfather of Bay Area rap and the Ambassador of the yay... Quit hatin.. as I always say in my reviews. Yea he's gettin a little too hyphy for me, cuz I'm a Southern Cali resident anyways and we don't get hyphy we keep it G. But despite all that this is still a thumper, lots of good featured artists on here (except I could do without T-Pain [the T stands for Tricc!])

All in all about 3.8 out of 5 stars for me, I rounded up to 4. Grab this one u won't be disappointed.. Better than the new Luda at least.

5 out of 5 stars EDITOR COMMENT IS INCORRECT   December 12, 2008

What a shame!!!
I loved 40's music since Mr.FlamboyantEP right up to Grit & Grind.
But when I hear his new stuff and see pansy's like T-Shame and Acorn jumping and yowling around him I can't belive it.
This Album sounds like the Muppet Show on Angel Dust and cut me to the quick. We're in Europe are more than disappointed.

If you're really Sick Wid it don't buy it.
