Great Microphone with auto-gain December 6, 2008 This is one of the best add-ons to the iPod that I've used. Worked great with my 30 gig, even with my 2nd gen Nano. Hint: Keep Auto-gain switched ON. Wonderful product - would purchase it again.
Good product, HORRIBLE tech support November 25, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Good product, neat, small, useful. TERRIBLE HORRIBLE tech support. Long waits while techie looks up the simplest of questions. They're totally unprepared for the job. And I was given simply incorrect information which I had to wade through with more calls even to find out it was incorrect. If you're not a natural techie, expect a horrible experience with their tech support.
Great. November 11, 2008 This product works great for my purpose of recording loud rehearsals with my rock band for personal review and file sharing.
This little thing is pretty cool October 27, 2008 I needed a way to record acoustic jam sessions, and this thing fit the bill. Very compact and simple to use. Does drain the battery as others have said, but I bought a 120V/USB adapter to charge my Ipod and that lets me record as long as I want, if I have access to an outlet. HD noise can be heard in quiet recordings, but bluegrass/old timey/folkie type jams a plenty loud enough to drown out the HD noise so you can't hear it. Sound quality is good enough for me to listen to and enjoy my recordings in the car during my commute. I'd like a digital "tune sucker" such as an Edirol, but I'd have to spend lots of dough. In the meantime I'll keep using this little gizmo.
Exactly what I needed October 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm an opera singer and needed something to record voice lessons, coaching, and in a pinch... a demo. This fit the bill perfectly. The problem with another iPod recorder we had tried was that it didn't have the option to charge while recording... an absolute necessity given the demands recording has on the battery... but this unit does. My other criteria was that it be able to utilize my $100 mic that I had previously used with my Sony MiniDisc recorder... which this does perfectly. While nobody would mistake this for a high-end recording or demo-cd solution, it's perfect for what I need on a day-to-day basis. When I need the next level... I go to the studio. :)
