Amazon.com Product Description
Enjoy precise turn-by-turn directions while driving through unfamiliar terrain with the Asus S102 GPS navigator. The S102 sports a stylish orange and gray housing that's suitable for any car interior, along with a high-sensitivity 18 x 18 mm GPS antenna that receives satellite signals quickly and accurately. As a result, it's a breeze to drive from point A to point B without losing your way. Making it even easier is the advanced natural voice technology, which announces each turn out loud so you don't have to look away from the road. Finding your way around a new city has never been more convenient.

Given the number of distractions faced by most drivers, it's important that a GPS navigator be simple and easy to operate, and the S102 excels in this area, with a user-friendly interface, several handy front buttons, and a touch-screen panel. Furthermore, the device offers both hand script and voice recognition technologies, giving users a choice of input methods depending on the situation. And thanks to the keyword search function, it's a breeze to set up a destination. The S102 is particularly convenient when the user is busy navigating the road but needs to reroute to a new destination.

Although the S102 is primarily a GPS navigator, it also supports MP3 music playback, so you can load up the device with your favorite digital tunes for long road trips. As an alternative, the 3.5-inch, full-color TFT LCD also displays digital photos in 240 x 320 resolution, in addition to street maps from around the world (the S102 comes with North American maps). And should the 64 MB of built-in memory prove insufficient, you can expand the memory via the Secure Digital (SD) card slot.

The S102, which comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that runs for up to four hours per charge, measures 4.3 by 3.4 by 0.8 inches (W x H x D) and carries a one-year warranty.

What's in the Box
S102 GPS navigator, 1 GB Secure Digital card, Destinator CD software, AC adapter, car charger, windshield holder, user's manual.

Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Software flawed with bugs   September 24, 2007
The unit is very good when it actually worked.

For all the North American units, the settings on this GPS cannot be saved due to a software bug. So, every time you power off the unit, all your settings will be gone and need to be re-adjusted.

The ASUS service rep knew about it and said the patch is in work...when it was three months ago.

Total pain...I think ASUS should just stick to their motherboard business
