Product Description Whether used to block out sound while on an aircraft or to create a tranquil environment so you can enjoy your favorite CD track, these new headphones are up to the challenge. The new RP-HC500 noise canceling headphones are designed to reduce background noise by creating out-of-phase sounds that equal the background noise to effectively cancel it. Additionally, the headphones reduce low frequencies such as the drone of a plane's engine or a loud air conditioning unit. The noise-canceling feature can also be switched off to allow the user to converse or to reduce background noise by virtue of the headphone's comfortable insulated housing. Includes carrying pouch and plug adapter for airplane Suitable for MP3 and iPod players

Great deal January 6, 2009 Very impressed with both Amazon and the headphones; they performed perfectly and the reviews on the product were dead on, which is what sealed the deal initially.
The headphones were for my wife, for travel; she is very fussy and she loved them. She did leave them on the plane after the second trip but that was expected, after 10 or so trips, but the price was right. I will buy another set when the price comes down a little; it has gone up some, since I purchased them.
Great Buy January 6, 2009 This product is all that it states and more. It is lightweight, comfortable, has a detachable cord (if it shorts out, you can just buy another cord), and the sound is incredible. The NC works well.
Great Quality but watch the batteries January 4, 2009 Great quality. You should not be disappointed. My only downside is the battery you put in the headset. If you fall asleep, as I do, while listening to cd's without turning off the headphone you will have to replace the AAA battery often. Other than that I am very happy.
Junk January 3, 2009 I got these for Christmas. When I turn on the noise cancelling, I get constant static and popping. It is loud and I cannot use these. Junk ! For the price they are demanding, this is not acceptable. Cannot recommend.
Excellent for the price ! December 29, 2008 i bought these recently and was a little skeptical due to the low price but i was pleasantly
surprised. The noise reduction is awesome ! As for audio quality they sound terrible with the
noise reduction off but 100% better with it on. They still sound a little muddy to me lacking
in the mids and highs compared to Bose but for less than one third the price I can live with it.
For the money I would buy them anytime !
