3 out of 5 stars Sounds good, some flaws   January 6, 2009
These headphones sound great after they have been used for a while and are well burned in.

However, they do not stay in my ear very well at all. It is bad to a point where they fall out when I am just walking around.

The second negative point is the quality of the headphones where the cord first leaves the buds. That part is literally hanging by a thread, ready to break any moment now... rendering this pair completely useless. How did this happen? I never use them but to listen to music on my computer or walk around with my ipod, nothing intense or physical.

The third negative point, for me, is the metal piece in the middle of the cord (shown in the picture, where the cord splits to go to the individual buds). For some reason, that piece keeps catching to different parts of my dress or items around me, causing the headphones to fall out. Minor, but actually quite annoying, issue especially when the headphones take so long to fit them in the ears in such a way where they won't fall out.

3 out of 5 stars Good, but not sturdy!   December 26, 2008
I do own a pair and used then for about 2 months before my daughter hijacked them. She gave them back as the cord at the plug end frayed and soon the headphones stopped working. We both liked the sound a lot, but we did not expect a $70 pair of headphones to develop a cord oriented defect within 8 months or regular use.
Does anyone else have this problem or is this an isolated problem?

4 out of 5 stars Awesome~!~!   December 19, 2008
This thing is great for anyone that has been hearing music on regular earphones that came with their mp3 players. You haven't really listened and heard music. Through these premium earbuds everything is better I hear background singers i never knew were there before.

4 out of 5 stars Great earbuds, not so great design   December 6, 2008
I loved these earbuds. They sounded great and they looked great. Notice I say that in the past tense. I no longer use these earbuds because only one of them works now. The rubber covering for the wires separated from where it meets the earbud on both earbuds and eventually, one of the wires going to the left earbud broke. I should mention that I used them every day at work, 8 hours a day. Even so, that's no excuse for them falling apart. They started falling apart about 4 or 5 months after I got them and the one earbud stopped working about 3 months after that. So I got about 8 months out of them.... but I would had liked to be able to use them today.

These are great earbuds... they could just use a slightly better design for the wires.

1 out of 5 stars Don't last very long   October 1, 2008
After getting frustrated with the long thick cord on my Shure E2c earphones, I found the V-MODA Vibes to be much easier to manage. The cord is a better length for me and is soft, thin and lightweight. However, the first pair lost sound on one side after a few months of light use. I vowed to be more careful with the second pair, but to no avail. I'm back to my Shures. :(
