Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Video game consoles, Blu-ray players, satellite receivers, digital cable boxes, and home theater receivers are all being built with HDMI outputs these days, for unprecedented picture and sound clarity. For HDTV owners this is great news, but this creates a problem. Most HDTVs only have one or two HDMI ports on their TV. The problem is solved with a push button HDMI switch. This HDMI switch features passive source switching, so that you won't have find an open outlet for an ugly wall wart, and compatibility with all HDMI formats and signals. Dimensions: 0.9" H x 6.1" W x 5" D.

1 out of 5 stars poor quality   December 26, 2008
This is a cheap and very poor quality switch. The HDMI switch which I got from Parts Express simply DOES NOT WORK. After routing signal through this device there is so much pixelation, snowing, sound and color distortion that using this device makes no sense. Perhaps mine was defective but it looks that I'm not the only one with such experience. I tried several HDMI cables which work perfectly, tried several combinations, restarted everything several times. Nothing helps.

To be precise: I tried connecting 1080i signals from Panasonic BD-35 DVD Player and Dish Network DVR to Philips LCD TV (model 32PF7321). Connecting each device directly to the only HDMI input of this TV produces perfect picture and sound.

Save your time and money - buy something else!

1 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware   December 22, 2008
I was looking for an HDMI switch to use with my Panasonic equipment, and the price point on this seemed very attractive. While the seller claims that the switch is compliant with all HDMI signals, that is patently FALSE. I thought perhaps the other user who claimed that the switch didn't work with 1080p was simply an aberration; however, the switch does NOT support 1080p (even though it says so on the box). I contacted customer service, who promptly attempted to sell me better HDMI cables than came supplied with my Blu-Ray player. Suffice to say that new cables were unnecessary as the cables worked fine before using the switch. Bottom line, works fine for signals up to 1080i, but if you want Full HD 1080p--look elsewhere.

4 out of 5 stars HDMI 3-In 1-Out Review   December 6, 2008

ordered it December 1st and got it December 6th. Very nice product for the money and works great. Have Direct TV, PS3, and Upscan DVD now all on HDMI 1 and now when I get Netflix Streaming will use HDMI 2. Very happy, good product, like that it is does not require power.

1 out of 5 stars Does not do 1080p   November 2, 2008

This switch will not pass a 1080p signal. I hooked up my PS3 to a 1080p projector, and I can only get a signal if I select 720p or 1080i in the PS3 settings. 1080p brings up no image. If I hook up the projector directly to the PS3, or use a friend's HDMI switch, I get 1080p. Not sure if my switch is defective or if the product simply doesn't support 1080p. I will be returning this ASAP.

the push button switch is incredible easy and very functional. the only problem i have is sometimes when i push the button it takes about 5-10 seconds for everything to appear and sometimes (not very often) the sound doesnt work and i have to push another and go back to what i want.. but i guess "you get what you pay for" and even though thats true its still better than spending 100 dollars on a philips one that does the same thing.. i'll save my 75 bucks and push the stupid button twice!
