 Should call them noise-crackeling headphones January 7, 2009
The second day I had them a noise started in the left ear. By day three I couldn't wear them because the noise (loud crackeling) persisted. Changing batteries hasn't helped. I haven't had time to return them yet so save yourself a hassle and DON'T buy these!

We bought it for our son for X-mas. He does a lot of traveling for his job. He called us after the holiday and said he used them on the plane on his next trip. He said that they worked great. He said that they made the trip a lot more relaxing. Made us, as parents, feel great about the headphones. Thank you.
Good stuff January 7, 2009
I have not had experience with other noise cancelling headphones, but these seem to be good value for the money. I guess I'd like total outside sound being 'gone' but I suppose that is a pipe dream.
All in all, I think you'll be happy with these.

I am really happy with these headphones. I go crazy on airplanes having to crank music to drown out all the noise, can comfortably listen to these at a lower volume and enjoy great sound quality. As some other reviewers noted they can be a little tight if you have a big head (like I do) but I have come to expect this from headphones. My only other warning? If you use these at home make sure your spouse, roommates, whoever knows when you have them on because you won't be able to hear them if they shout for you...at all. Probably one of the purposes these are meant to serve most often :)
Great earphones January 6, 2009
I am a big fan of Bose products, but the price is just too high. A friend of mine introduced me to Audio-Technica and their noise cancelling headphones. I think they are equal in quality to Bose earphones and with the cost savings, you would be crazy to spend triple the price. I heard them one evening and bought them the next day.
