Disappointing December 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
One of the hands on the dial broke on being used for the first time.
simple and effective October 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It works, It's simple.
It's a little difficult to lift a heavy bag with such a small handle.
Not fancy but it works. October 1, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I kind of expected a little more. The product description mentions that you can put the luggage down and still be able to read the weight but that is not true with the model I received.
I don't know if it's broken or there's a secret clip somewhere (instructions are poor) but the fact is, as soon as you touch the ground with whatever it is you're weighting, measurement is gone.
If you have a big suitcase, it's a little complicated to hold it and bend to look at the dial. Measurement needles trembles a little, so it will give you a pretty good idea of how much weight you have but will not be precise. If you need absolute precision, go with a better, maybe digital model.
Good product; one disappointment though... September 11, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Lewis N. Clark Luggage Scale
This is a great idea and will prove very useful. However, be forewarned that the automatic weight marker is very clumsy and difficult to crank back to "0" after you have finished. The crank dial is hard to use. It should be easier to reset. Otherwise an excellent item for any regular airplane traveler in this day and age of limited luggage and weights.
Must have item for airline travel September 9, 2008 In this day of airline travel, you really have to know the weight of your luggage or it will cost you.
